Here’s the scenario I have in mind. A coworker sends you a PDF document. Since PDFArchitect is installed on your PC, you can use it to open and view said PDF document. If everything is OK, you can archive the PDF document and be done with it. If something is wrong, you can use PDFArchitect to edit your coworker’s PDF document. You can because PDFArchitect is a handy tool that can open, display, and edit PDF documents.

The Quick Look video that accompanies this article presents the steps you must go through to get PDFArchitect up and running on your PC. Why did I bother to show the installation process? I just wanted to highlight the fact that multiple languages are supported; I also wanted to highlight that from the Advanced Options menu you can select what components will be installed.

You see, several modules are available for PDFArchitect: create module, convert module, edit module, insert module, review module, forms module, secure and sign module, OCR module. Leave everything untouched and the only edit module will be the only one that will be installed. If you sign up with PDFArchitect, you will get one module for free; you will get the create module for free to be more precise.

By default, a Getting Started guide shows up when you launch PDFArchitect. It presents the modules mentioned above and it informs you that you only need to pay for the modules you need.

PDFArchitect has a ribbon interface. All the features and functions it has to offer, all the modules that you can select, they’re all conveniently presented on a ribbon that sits at the top of the application’s interface. If this ribbon gets in the way, you can minimize it with a simple mouse click.

PDFArchitect is a great tool for viewing and editing PDF documents. The functionality you get from PDFArchitect depends on the modules you purchase.

Pros

From the Advanced Options menu you can select what components will be installed. PDFArchitect has a ribbon interface that provides support for multiple themes. Lots of modules are available for PDFArchitect: create module, convert module, edit module, insert module, review module, forms module, secure and sign module, OCR module. You get the View module for free; you can get the Create module for free by signing up.

Cons

You have to purchase the Edit module and any other modules you want to use. Tip PDFArchitect is powered by Soda PDF.
